Croquet Deadness (“the app”) is published by The MacGuffin Group. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. This page describes the small amount of data the app does handle, all of which stays on your device or syncs only between your own paired devices.

Data we collect

None. Croquet Deadness does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no server, no account system, and no analytics pipeline.

Data stored on your device

The app saves the following information locally, on your device only, using Apple’s standard UserDefaults storage:

  • Your current game state (wicket counts and ball “deadness”), so the “Recover Game” feature can restore play after the app is closed.
  • Your preferences (six- vs. nine-wicket mode, ball style).

This data never leaves your device except via the sync described below. Tapping “Reset Game” or deleting the app clears it.

Sync between iPhone and Apple Watch

If you install the companion Apple Watch app, the iPhone and Watch sync the current game state to each other directly using Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. The communication happens locally between your two paired devices over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The data does not pass through any server operated by us or a third party, and we never see it.

Tracking

The app does not track you. It uses no advertising identifiers, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking services. The app’s privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false.

Third-party services

The app does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics providers.

Children

The app is suitable for users of all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else.
